Support Carousel Players
Give the Gift of Theatre
Since 1972, 2.8 million students, teachers, and families have seen our productions in communities all over the country from small rural elementary schools to performing arts centres in Canada’s largest cities. We have brought children the benefits of drama education for fifty years and our community has supported us since the start.
Your contribution and support is vital to our ability to create, teach, and share professional Canadian Theatre for Young Audiences.
Help us make the shared experience of drama financially accessible for every child.
What it costs to bring
theatre to young people
An average Carousel Players tour costs between $50,000 and $60,000 to create and tour.
Schools pay $350 to $750 per performance, and family audiences pay $10 per ticket. These prices reflect the economic realities of school board arts budgets and of household incomes in Niagara.
Contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and government agencies help us make up the difference between what school and families can afford and the real costs of professional theatre.
